A criticism of a statement in Virchow's 'Uber Hospitäler und Lazarette' declaring that until the coming of Christianity, hospitals and similar institutions had been unknown in all nations including the Jews. OCLC lists eight copies of this edition worldwide. Book is just loose sheets, but complete. Edges chipped and darkened, but with no loss of text. Some foxing, and front and back cover have creases.
