Baar was a German-born American educator; "superintendent of the Hebrew Orphan Asylum, New York City-a position he filled with great success till his resignation in 1899." (JE) Singerman 2887. SUBJECT(S) : Children's sermons, Jewish. Light wear to covers with edgewear and sunning to spines. Internal pages are slightly tanned at edges, but all text is clean and clear. Very good condition.
