ISBN: 0876685920. Green (b. 1941) was born and raised as a secular Jew in New Jersey. He attended Brandeis University and New York's Jewish Theological Seminary, where he was ordained in 1967. In Somerville, MA, he helped found the organization Havurat Shalom, which “that wove together the insights of Jewish mysticism, Neo-Hasidism, and American counterculture. ” In 1973, he joined the faculty at UPenn, and from 1984 to 1990 was dean, and then president, of the Reconstructionist Rabbinical College in Philadelphia. From 1991 to 2005, he taught at Brandeis, and in 2004 founded the nondenominational Rabbinical School of Hebrew College in Newton, MA. (EJ, 2007) Inscribed by author.
