He studied at the university in Liepzig; he became a preacher there in 1845, and later also preached at the Leopoldstadt and Seitenstetten synagogues in Vienna. He was a founder of the Kirchlicher Verein fuer alle Religionsbekenntnisse, an association that brought together the varying religions of Germany, and of the Beit ha-Midrash Academy, where Jewish scholars delivered lectures and which also published a periodical by the same name. More than 200 of Jellinek's sermons were published including in translation, and he also wrote books on topics such as apologetics, Kabbalah, and Talmudic language. (EJ, 2007) Part one is from 1886, Part two from 1882 and Part three from 1885. Last 10 pages of part three are loose, also is this part tanned much more than the other 2. Overall very good condition.
