Contains five items: two envelopes from the UAHC, typewritten form letter from George Zepin addressed to Rabbi Joshua Bloch of Lake Charles Louisiana, 'Jewish Soldiers and Sailors who gave their lives' name blank form, printed 'Bivouac of the Dead' celebrating the heroism of the deceased soldier William S. Strauss. Form letter and printed material discuss a mothers' “request that the name of her son be entered upon the Memorial Book of the Hebrew Union College for the recital of Kaddish”. The accompanying blank name form is to be filled with the register of the dead to be entered upon the Memorial Book of the Hebrew Union College.
