Jewish Community ‘Jewish Religious Association’ at Frankfurt am Main on 29 August 1907.” This is a program from the inauguration of the The Synagogue at the Friedberger Anlage Nr. 6 in Frankfurt, built by the Israelitische Religionsgesellschaft (Jewish Religious Association) . “(The) Israelitische Religionsgesellschaft synagogue … was dedicated in 1907 and destroyed during the (Kristallnacht) pogrom in November 1938. Boasting 1600 seats, the synagogue was Frankfurt’s largest. It belonged to the breakaway Orthodox community founded in 1851 by Rabbi Samson Raphael Hirsch…. In 1942 a civil defense bunker was erected by French prisoners of war on the foundation… Since 2004, Initiative 9.
