The title translates as “Jeshua Gedola: New Commentaries on the Talmud. ” This is the first and only publication from Belfast (as listed in Vinograd) . Rabbi Silverstone (1871-1944) moved from Poland to Belfast with his family at age twenty. He was appointed rabbi of the Belfast Hebrew Congregation, though he eventually moved to America and then Palestine.
