Stunning exhibition catalog in large format oversized black hardcover and illustrated thick paper dustjacket. This book was published to accompany an important show of the artist's works in the State Pushkin Museum in Moscow, the State Russian Museum in St. Peterburg and the Ludwig Museum. 276 pp. With 326 ills. (245 col. ) . The book measures 31 x 26 cm. Grisha Bruskin is a Jewish-Russian painter whose recent work has been an attempt to re-energize the traditionally Russian medium of painting on porcelain. Combining text and image, these figuative works follow in the tradition of such Russian masters as Kandinsky, Malevich, and others. Bruskin is represented by the Marlborough Gallery in New York, where he now lives and works. Essays by Evgeny Barabanov, Eleanor Heartney, and Hans-Peter Riese.
