Title translates to “Praised Righteous Ones. ” The Tunisian Jewish community, dating back almost 2, 000 years, would eventually flea to Israel after the anti-semitic backlash to the creation of the state of Israel. Before 1948, there were 100, 000 Jews living in Tunisia. Today, there are only about 2, 000 left, most of whom live in Djerba (JVL, 2018) . SUBJECTS: Judaism - Liturgy - Texts.
