Title translates as, “A collection of proverbs from sages and the conversation of scholars: from the Gaonim and rabbis and sages from the days of the Rabbis and Maimonides until the last of our generations…” Some editions apparently also include the English title, “Treasure of Wit, Humour, Satire and Poetry. containing an immense number of witty and humorous conversations in prose and verse, concerning many distinguis,” though this one does not (it may have been on the original “rear” wrapper which is lacking here).
