No Date (1945) 1st edition. Original printed paper wrappers bound into boards, small 8vo, 8 pages, uncut. In Judeo-Arabic in Hebrew and Latin characters. Lamentations on the victims of the Nazi rule in Tunisia.
Tunisia was under the Nazi rule from November 1942 until May 1943. The Jews were required to wear a yellow patch and provide for the needs of the German army. Many Jews were shot to death in their homes or during the Death Marches. About 4,000 Jews were sent to concentration camps in Tunisia and few were sent to extermination camps in Europe. See EJ, Vol. XV, cols. 1447-8. Judeo-Arabic dirges. Each verse appears in Hebrew and in French script. A copy sold at auction for over $1100 in 2012.
