Important history of the Jewish Community of Frankfurt during the French Revolution. Includes a 20-page bibliography, and a 45-page index. Written by Paul Arnsberg (1899-1978) a German-Jewish native of Frankfurt, writer, historian, and board member of the Zionist Federation of Germany during the Weimar era; he served as a member of the municipal council of the Jewish community of Frankfurt until 1933.
